About
We're building the operating system for shift work.
Formclock is the trustworthy autonomous scheduling layer for startups, small businesses and multi-location operators alike: the businesses that live and die by whether the right people show up at the right time, wherever they operate.
The spreadsheet was never the goal.
Scheduling software has spent a decade digitising the spreadsheet. We think that's the wrong goal. The goal is a schedule that mostly runs itself: one that fills its own gaps, respects the rules before you publish, and shares the good shifts fairly, while a human stays in control of anything that matters.
So we built an agent you can actually trust: it shows its work, it's reversible, and every decision it makes is written down. That's the difference between automation that helps and automation that scares people.
The principles behind the product
Outcomes, not tasks
Managers should get a finished schedule, not another chore. Automation is only good if it saves real time.
Trust is a feature
Every automated action is auditable and reversible. If you can't undo it or see why it happened, it doesn't ship.
Fair by default
Good shifts and hard shifts should be shared. Fairness is visible to everyone, not buried in a manager's head.
Designed on the floor
We design alongside the people running the floor, on the devices they actually use mid-shift.
